    Favorite Cover songs

    What are your favorite cover songs???

    Right now I am listening to a Gov't Mule show from 1999 and they are playing "Simple Man".

    Now I could give 6 shits about skynyrd...but this version gives me goose bumps...there is an excellent guitar solo/duel between Warren Haynes and guest guitarist Jerry Cantrell.

    They also do a kick ass version of War Pigs...with Cantrell guesting on that as well.


    What are your favor cover songs...officially released or bootlegged....doesn't matter.....enlighten us!

      Dave and the boys versions of "You Really Got Me" and "Ice Cream Man" go without saying.

                                          it's not on one of their studio records, the only cd i remember it being on was something to celebrate 100 years of their record label

                                              Never released on an album. You can find it on some of their compilations.

                                              I love that band. All three albums are great!
